At Heathmont East Primary School we have a range of playgrounds and outdoor learning zones which supports every type of play. From climbing gyms to quiet grassed areas, our expansive grounds allows children to imagine all sorts of wonderful games. We have several asphalt courts (both Basketball and Netball), large irrigated football oval as well as a synthetic grassed dedicated junior play space for students in Foundation to Level 2.

Our buildings are spread across the tree-lined site with a dedicated Art Room, Music Room and Library. Our amazing and well stocked with up to date library is dedicated to resourcing and servicing the needs of each student at their stage and level of learning. Our library provides a warm, welcoming open-plan environment, and lunchtimes are often busy with students reading, studying, chatting and playing games together.

We also have a gymnasium in which Physical Education lessons are held. We have a large BER building which allows for 21st Century learning. Our technology is integrated throughout the school, with every air-conditioned classroom having access to big screen TV, desktop computers, and a range of laptops and iPads. One of our facilities that we are most proud of is our Kitchen Garden. Our Kitchen Garden allows for our students to have a practical understanding of the food we eat, nature, life cycles as well as a therapeutic avenue for students to explore and grow. Lined by our orchard, the expansive kitchen garden is not just used during class time, but is one of our many lunchtime clubs, which is run by some of our wonderful and dedicated staff.
